Mr. Zhao's expertise covers the areas of electronic and electrical engineering, telecommunications and semiconductor, including optoelectronics, optical communications & networks, wireless communications & networks, semiconductor devices and manufacturing processes, micro-electronic-machine techniques, data encoding and decoding techniques, display devices such as LCD, PDP and EL, as well as household appliances.

After joining CSPTAL in March, 2003, he addresses in procurement of patent rights, patent search, opinions on patentability, re-examination and invalidation, infringement analysis, and other matters related to intellectual property right. Heretofore, Mr. Zhao has handled hundreds of patent applications and consultancies most of which come from world-famous companies. He is also familiar with the prosecution procedures and requirements before EPO and USPTO and has dealt with dozens of applications submitted thereto.
