Chengxin ZHANG Partner Patent Attorney  Ph. D

Mr. Zhang practices patent law in mechanical and electrical engineering fields. He has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications. In addition, Dr. Zhang also provides service on legal opinions on patentability, re-examination and invalidation, infringement analysis, and administrative proceedings for enforcement. He currently serves for a variety of foreign and domestic clients on patent drafting, patent prosecution, re-examination, etc.

Mr. Zhang graduated from Mechanical department of Heilongjiang College of Mining & Technology in 1984 and obtained his M.S. degree from the China University of Mining & Technology in 1989, and his Ph.D. degree from Beijing Polytechnic University in 2002. 

Mr. Zhang worked with Hegang Coal Mine, Yanzou Coal Mining Machine Group and Rizhao Jinma Group in developing and designing mechanical products for over 10 years.

Mr. Zhang joined CSPTAL in 2002, and was admitted as Patent Attorney in 2004.

Mr. Zhang used to be trained in a US IP law firm.

Mr. Zhang is proficient in Chinese and English.
